Brijus purchased these adjacent class “C” buildings
located at one of the premier locations in downtown Chicago. Prior
to the purchase, the property was being marketed as a development
site. Instead of an immediate redevelopment, Brijus commenced
a minor renovation and aggressive lease up of the properties
increasing occupancy from 65% to 95% in a relatively short time.
During this period, Wacker Drive became the predominant location
downtown with the addition of four brand new class “A” office
towers. In April of 2005, Brijus sold a majority interest
in the property to the John Buck Company. Brijus and the
John Buck Company are co-developing a 1,200,000 square foot 50-story
office building with delivery anticipated in 2009.
